This is what happens when you put business majors.. the lowest tier field in college next to psychology.. in charge of actual expert engineers. So non-programmers knoow having to jump into other people's source code and understand what they were doing and how they did it is kind of a nightmare. Add on to that you have to learn a new engine. Then you have to incorporate networking.. the best analogy is installing electricity into a 19 th century mansion. You can do it.. but you will have to tear half the thing apart and rig in wiring add places there is no room for wiring. You can make it work but it will not be optimal

They advertised and sold the game with the explicit statement that "colonies, interstellar, and multiplay will be added [...] during Early Access". If they don't add those features, they are liable for false advertising and get definitely be sued.

In a way I'm glad that my BS alarm sounded as soon as I saw the price of the early access game. Looked exactly like a bail, people were mad at me when I asked if they felt the same way and now my gut feeling is proven right. Yet another wonderful IP has been lost to incompetence and greed.

Then, when you think it's stable it starts wobbling uncontrollably until it tips over and after about 3 minutes of lag from the massive explosion, your crew module is doing 17 trillion times the speed of light on an extra-Universal escape trajectory.

Rockets: More complicated than they look, even when they're just made of Lego. I didn't really like the crater baseplates in the 80s, but I didn't really like any of the baseplates. Flimsy things, and I didn't really like the craters being realistic. It showed up the lower realism of my Lego builds. :)

Coorporate greed. The usual game killer. When will these people understand that greed does not make a lot of money, a great game does.

When KSP was released on early access, they said all future updates would be free to all early access buyers. When they tried to charge for an update, they were shouted down by the people who bought the early access to KSP1. And that is why they started KSP2 because it would be a new game and wouldn't be under KSP1 early access promise. Which is why KSP2 was a thing.

i think "told you so" isint enough of a comment, in the first week, of its reease after an hour playing i made a video saying this would happen, and the nay sayers shouted me down.... but now the game is dead and still in alpha...

Oh my...

2 years is very little time to improve everything in the game and also add new features. They should have used Unity or UE, and scrapped everything in the old codebase except for the physics and modelling. Then they could have made a game based on modern standards, and junior developers would find it much easier to contribute. Also they should definitely have used some developers on KSP1 to tell them which parts of the code to keep.
